We are seeking a passionate and innovative Art and Design Teacher to join the creative faculty at this lovely school. This is an exciting opportunity to nurture artistic talent and help students develop their skills in a vibrant, supportive, and forward-thinking environment. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as an Art and Design Teacher:

 

  • Teach Art and Design across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable).

  • Deliver engaging lessons that promote creativity, critical thinking and technical skill.

  • Encourage students to explore various media, techniques, and cultural influences in their work.

  • Prepare students for assessments, exhibitions, and qualifications (e.g. GCSE/A-Level).

  • Contribute to curriculum planning and department enrichment activities, including school displays and art clubs.

Ideal Art and Design Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • A degree in Art, Fine Art, Design or a related discipline.

  • A strong portfolio of artistic practice and a passion for visual arts education.

  • Experience of teaching Art and Design in a school setting.

  • Excellent subject knowledge and up-to-date awareness of developments in art education.

  • A commitment to creativity, inclusion, and high expectations for all learners as an Art and Design Technology.
