Job description

Step Teachers are looking for a creative Art Teacher for an academy in Ipswich starting February until the end of the academic term. This will be a full-time role teaching Art and general cover.

The academy is an inclusive and calm place, where all the students are supported through their journey, with students and staff across the globe.

​​​Step teachers are a large educational recruitment agency working with primary schools across East Anglia. We are exceptionally busy placing day-to-day, long-term, and permanent teachers into schools and academies and are looking for more supply teachers to join our team.

Role: 

  • Strong curriculum knowledge

  • Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed 

  • Direct and support any additional staff in the classroom where applicable 

  • Ability to assess and report on your students when required 

  • Able to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for long-term supply roles

  • Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively  

Requirements: 

  • Hold QTS or the equivalent of 

  • Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching Art

  • A relevant subject-specific degree is desirable
