Year 5 Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join a supportive primary school team. The ideal candidate will foster a love of learning and help pupils make excellent progress as they prepare for the transition to upper Key Stage 2. Beginning ASAP.

Duties as Year 5 Teacher:

• Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum

• Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND or EAL

• Assess, record, and report on pupil progress, setting high expectations for achievement and behaviour

• Establish a positive, stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity and independence

• Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues to support each child’s development

• Contribute to the wider life of the school through clubs, trips, and enrichment activities

Ideal Year 5 Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised equivalent

• Recent experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5

• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective assessment strategies

• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills as Year 5 Teacher.

• Commitment to safeguarding and continuous professional development
