Drama Teacher
Job description
We are seeking an inspiring and creative Drama Teacher to join a passionate team. You will deliver engaging and high-quality drama lessons that foster creativity, confidence and communication skills in students. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape a thriving department and contribute to a vibrant cultural life within the school. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Drama Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3–5.
Develop pupils’ performance skills, creativity and appreciation of theatre.
Support students in practical and theoretical work, including preparation for GCSE/A-Level or equivalent qualifications.
Organise and direct school performances, showcases and enrichment activities.
Contribute to whole-school arts and cultural initiatives.
Assess, track and report on student progress.
Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
Ideal Drama Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Specialism in Drama or Performing Arts.
Passion for drama and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
Strong classroom management and organisational skills as a Drama Teacher.
Experience of directing productions and working collaboratively on school events is desirable.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
