Step Teachers currently have an opportunity for a Secondary Teacher seeking fulltime work. It is a temp to perm contract position exclusively advertised through Step Teachers for a Teacher of Food Technology commencing as soon as possible.

The School has asked for a proficient secondary Food Technology Teacher who has the following attributes:

  • Either a QTS or PGCE Certificate, with experience of working in a mainstream secondary school
  • Experience of teaching Food Technology from KS3 to KS4.
  • Passionate about their subject specialism and their ambitions for teaching.

This is an opportunity at a large and established school college inside a small academy. This, very multicultural, new school of ours is one that continues to grow and one that we have helped recruit for recently and are hoping to build upon this. The school has seen a vast increase in student size in the last few years at a time where Harrow’s numbers were generally falling, which has progressed the school into a more attractive environment where students can flourish!

The students come from a variety of Socio-Economic and religious backgrounds, as the school prides itself in making an inclusive environment with equal opportunities for all of its students.

Ofsted described the school as having good teachers and Pupil progression, where “expectations are high”

To be eligible to apply for this Food Technology role through Step Teachers you will first need to undergo our registration process which includes; a remote interview, full referencing, qualification checks and the obligatory safeguarding checks as step teachers are committed to the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment.
