Job description
General Cover Teacher – Day-to-day supply from as soon as possible
These flexible opportunities are ideal for General Cover Teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings in Ipswich and the surrounding areas.
Duties as General Cover Teacher:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects and year groups
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Ensure pupils remain on task and engaged in their learning
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and classroom activity
- Adapt quickly to different school environments and expectations
- Support pupils’ learning and maintain a positive classroom atmosphere
Ideal General Cover Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching in primary or secondary settings
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to deliver lessons across a variety of subjects
- A flexible and proactive approach to supply teaching
- Confidence in working with different age groups and abilities
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
