German Teacher
Job description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated German Teacher to join a dynamic Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) department. The successful candidate will teach German across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 and will inspire students to develop their language skills, cultural awareness, and global outlook. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a German Teacher:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge all learners.
Teach German in line with the national curriculum and exam board specifications (e.g., AQA/Edexcel).
Assess, track and report on student progress to ensure high standards of achievement.
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all students, including those with SEND or EAL.
Prepare students for internal assessments and external exams such as GCSE and A-Level.
Create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel confident using the target language.
Contribute to curriculum development and the wider MFL department initiatives.
Promote German language and culture through trips, clubs, and cultural events.
Uphold school policies on behaviour, safeguarding, and teaching and learning.
Participate in whole-school CPD, meetings, and enrichment activities.
Ideal German Teacher:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Have a degree in German or a closely related subject.
Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a clear enthusiasm for language teaching.
Be committed to achieving the highest standards for all learners.
Have excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills as a German Teacher.
Be a team player willing to contribute to departmental and whole-school improvement.
