Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher to join primary schools across the Norwich area. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that nurture curiosity, creativity and a love of learning in pupils aged 5–7. Beginning ASAP.

Duties as a KS1 Teacher:

 

  • Plan, prepare and teach inspiring lessons across the KS1 curriculum.

  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of mixed-ability groups, including pupils with SEND or EAL.

  • Track, assess and report on pupil progress, setting clear targets for improvement.

  • Foster a safe, stimulating classroom environment that supports personal and academic growth.

  • Work closely with colleagues, parents and carers to promote pupil wellbeing and achievement.

  • Contribute to wider school activities, trips and events.

Ideal KS1 Teacher:

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or recognised equivalent.

  • Experience teaching KS1 is desirable, but motivated ECTs are welcome.

  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills as a KS1 Teacher.

  • Ability to inspire and engage young learners.

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
