Job description
A forward-thinking and supportive secondary school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher to join its strong and high-performing Maths Department. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to make a meaningful impact on students' learning and progress in a subject that underpins success across the curriculum. Starting September 2025.
Duties as Maths Teacher:
Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4
Deliver engaging, well-planned lessons that challenge and inspire learners
Support students of all abilities in achieving their full academic potential
Use data effectively to monitor progress and implement targeted interventions
Contribute to the continuous development of the Maths curriculum and resources
Participate in departmental planning, assessments, and moderation
Support the wider life of the school, including clubs, enrichment, and interventions
Maintain high standards of behaviour, organisation, and academic expectations
Ideal Maths Teacher:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is working towards it
Has a degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject
Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for maths education
Has experience teaching at Key Stage 3 and 4
Is reflective, resourceful, and committed to ongoing professional development
Has excellent communication skills and classroom presence as a Maths Teacher.
Works well as part of a collaborative team and contributes positively to school life
