Job description

Maths Teacher with PRU Experience – Supply, Full-time or Part-time, Starting ASAP

These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings, including Pupil Referral Units (PRUs). You will be working with learners who require tailored support and a creative approach to teaching mathematics.

Duties as Maths Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging maths lessons suited to individual learning needs
  • Adapt teaching strategies to support pupils with behavioural and emotional challenges
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a positive learning environment
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with support staff and other professionals to ensure holistic pupil development
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to safeguarding policies

Ideal Maths Teacher:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching maths within PRU or alternative provision settings
  • Strong classroom management skills and ability to build positive relationships
  • Flexible and resilient, with a commitment to inclusive education
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
