I am hoping to recruit a passionate and commited Year 2 Primary Teacher for a class in Cheshunt to cover a maternitiy leave from April. The role of Year 2 Primary Teacher will be for 2 terms in the first instance, however the Head Teacher would ideally like to meet candidates who can commit for 3 terms. The successful Primary Teacher will be working with a class who have finished their SATs and on the whole are working to age related expectations.
The Head Teacher is looking for Primary Teachers who:
- Produce schemes of work which are creative, varied and flexible enough to promote differentiation
- Understand and and utilise current theory and practice in relation to learning and development
- Have the abilty to engage with and manage support staff effectively
- Show ability to establish high standards of conduct, emotional and learning behaviour in all pupils
This is a lovely school situated in a semi-rural area with great transport links and a student body which on the whole arrives in Reception below expected levels. We have several teachers already in place on long term and permanent contracts and they tell us of a really friendly body of staff who work closely with the SMT in order to build a supportive community. Behaviour standards were a particular highlight of the most recent Ofsted inspection and this helps to build a positive atmosphere for all school stakeholders.
