Religious Studies Teacher

We are seeking an inspiring and thoughtful Religious Studies Teacher to join a committed team at a wonderfu school in Finchley. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach a subject that fosters critical thinking, empathy and cultural understanding in an inclusive and reflective learning environment. Beginning May 2025.

Duties as a Religious Studies Teacher:

• Teach Religious Studies across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Deliver engaging and balanced lessons that promote respect, discussion and deep thinking

• Plan and assess in line with the curriculum, using a variety of resources and approaches

• Contribute to the moral and spiritual development of pupils across the school

• Support the wider life of the school, including assemblies, form time or enrichment activities

Ideal Religious Studies Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• A strong academic background in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy or related discipline

• Experience teaching RS/RE in a secondary school setting

• A balanced, inclusive and reflective approach to teaching worldviews and ethics

• Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills as a Religious Studies Teacher.

• A commitment to professional development and whole-school contribution
