SEN 121 Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated SEN 1:1 Support Assistant to provide personalised support to a child with special educational needs in a primary school setting. This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about helping children thrive both academically and socially. Starting ASAP.

Duties as a SEN 121 Support Assistant:

• Work closely with a pupil on a 1:1 basis, supporting their individual learning and development.

• Implement strategies outlined in the pupil’s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

• Assist with classroom activities, ensuring the pupil can access the full curriculum.

• Provide emotional, social, and behavioural support when required.

• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to track progress.

• Create a nurturing and positive environment to encourage independence.

Ideal SEN 121 Support Assistant:

• Experience working with children in an educational setting (SEN experience desirable but not essential).

• A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.

• Ability to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff.

• Good communication and teamwork skills as SEN 121 Support Assistant.

• Willingness to support with personal care if required.
