Job description
We are seeking a dedicated SEN 1:1 Support Assistant to provide personalised support to a child with special educational needs in a primary school setting. This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about helping children thrive both academically and socially. Starting ASAP.
Duties as a SEN 121 Support Assistant:
Work closely with a pupil on a 1:1 basis, supporting their individual learning and development.
Implement strategies outlined in the pupil’s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
Assist with classroom activities, ensuring the pupil can access the full curriculum.
Provide emotional, social, and behavioural support when required.
Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to track progress.
Create a nurturing and positive environment to encourage independence.
Ideal SEN 121 Support Assistant:
Experience working with children in an educational setting (SEN experience desirable but not essential).
A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
Ability to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff.
Good communication and teamwork skills as SEN 121 Support Assistant.
Willingness to support with personal care if required.
