SEND Teaching Assistant

We are looking for caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Special Educational Needs in both primary and secondary schools. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a SEN Teaching Assistant:

• Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with additional needs

• Assist in adapting lessons and resources to suit individual learning requirements

• Support pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural development

• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement support plans

• Encourage independence and build pupil confidence in and out of the classroom

Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant:

• Experience working with children with SEN is desirable

• Patience, empathy and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils

• Good communication and teamwork skills as a SEN Teaching Assistant.

• Flexible, adaptable, and willing to support across different year groups

• A genuine passion for helping children with additional needs thrive
