Spanish Teacher
Job description
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Spanish Teacher to join the Modern Foreign Languages department at this wonderful school. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to bring language learning to life and foster a love of Spanish language and culture among our students. Starting September 2025.
Duties as Spanish Teacher:
Teach Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5 if applicable)
Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum and exam board requirements
Promote active language use through speaking, listening, reading and writing activities
Use a range of resources and technology to enhance learning and cultural understanding
Assess, monitor and report on student progress, ensuring all learners are supported and challenged appropriately
Contribute to curriculum development, resources and enrichment opportunities within the MFL department
Encourage participation in extra-curricular activities such as language clubs, trips and cultural events
Work collaboratively with colleagues to raise standards and share best practice
Maintain high standards of behaviour and uphold the school’s values and safeguarding policies
Ideal Spanish Teacher:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
Has strong subject knowledge in Spanish and a good understanding of MFL pedagogy
Is confident in their ability to communicate fluently in Spanish
Is passionate about language teaching and committed to helping students develop cultural awareness
Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills as a Spanish Teacher.
Is organised, reflective and committed to their own professional development
Can work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive school culture
