Are you a dedicated Specialist ASD Teacher with a passion for working with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)? Step Teachers are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Specialist ASD Teacher to join our specialist ASD provision at a highly regarded school in Norfolk. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners in a “Good” Ofsted-rated school known for its supportive and inclusive environment.

Specialist ASD Teacher– Role:

  • Teach a small class of twelve pupils with autism spectrum disorder.
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to the needs of students with ASD.
  • Lead and collaborate with 4 Teaching Assistants to create a supportive and structured learning environment.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Year 2/3 curriculum and adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Maintain a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources to support student learning.
  • Collaborate effectively with other staff members within the classroom and throughout the school.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, dynamic, and interactive lessons.

Specialist ASD Teacher – Requirements:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification.
  • Recent experience in a mainstream or specialist primary school, particularly with ASD students.
  • A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
