The Basics

• Role: Teaching Assistant at an amazing specialist high school in Salford.
• Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm.
• Start date: Immediate.
• Pay: £90–100 per day (dependent on experience), paid via PAYE — no umbrella companies.
• Progression: Opportunity to secure a permanent role for the right candidate.

The Role

• Work with a class of up to 10 pupils with a range of Communication, Sensory, Social & Emotional needs.
• Provide individual and small-group support, tailoring your approach to meet different learning styles.
• Encourage positive behaviour through reinforcement strategies and supportive interventions.
• Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCO, parents, SLT, and outside agencies.
• Record and share observations on progress, behaviour, and safeguarding matters with the DSL.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs.
• Valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply), plus proof of right to work in the UK, recent references, and ID/address documents.
• A reliable, empathetic, and committed team player with a genuine passion for supporting learners.
