Job description
We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Year 2/3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school on a temporary contract starting October 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children across lower Key Stage 2 and make a positive impact on their learning and development.
Duties as Year 2/3 Teaching Assistant:
Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils in Year 2 and Year 3.
Assist the class teacher with preparing resources, setting up activities and maintaining a stimulating classroom environment.
Help adapt lessons and activities to meet individual needs and encourage progress.
Observe and record pupil progress, sharing feedback with teachers and parents/carers.
Promote a positive, inclusive atmosphere that supports social and emotional well-being.
Ideal Year 2/3 Teaching Assistant:
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
Experience working with children in a primary school setting is desirable.
Excellent communication skills, patience and a nurturing approach as a Year 2/3 Teaching Assistant.
Good understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to the welfare of all pupils.
