Year 2 Teacher
Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join a supportive primary school team. This is a fantastic opportunity to guide pupils through a key stage in their education, preparing them for the transition from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2. Beginning ASAP.
Duties as a Year 2 Teacher:
Planning and delivering creative and engaging lessons across the Year 2 curriculum
Supporting pupils with their SATs preparation and building confidence in literacy and numeracy
Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, providing effective feedback
Encouraging independence, resilience and a love of learning
Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers to support each child’s development
Ideal Year 2 Teacher:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
Be passionate about teaching and learning, with a child-centred approach
Have strong classroom management and organisational skills as a Year 2 Teacher.
Be committed, adaptable and able to inspire and motivate young learners
