Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join a supportive primary school team. This is a fantastic opportunity to guide pupils through a key stage in their education, preparing them for the transition from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2. Beginning ASAP.

Duties as a Year 2 Teacher:

 

  • Planning and delivering creative and engaging lessons across the Year 2 curriculum

  • Supporting pupils with their SATs preparation and building confidence in literacy and numeracy

  • Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment

  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, providing effective feedback

  • Encouraging independence, resilience and a love of learning

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers to support each child’s development

Ideal Year 2 Teacher:

 

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2

  • Be passionate about teaching and learning, with a child-centred approach

  • Have strong classroom management and organisational skills as a Year 2 Teacher.

  • Be committed, adaptable and able to inspire and motivate young learners
