Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Year 3/4 Teacher to join a team for the 2025–2026 academic year. Teaching a mixed lower Key Stage 2 class, the successful candidate will deliver a broad and engaging curriculum that supports children’s academic and personal development as they progress through KS2.

Duties as a Year 3/4 Teacher:

 

  • Deliver high-quality, well-structured lessons that meet the needs of both Year 3 and Year 4 pupils

  • Plan, assess, and differentiate effectively to ensure good progress across the year groups

  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across Key Stage 2

  • Maintain effective communication with parents and carers

  • Contribute to wider school life, including extracurricular activities and school events

Ideal Year 3/4 Teacher:

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching in KS2; experience with mixed-age classes is desirable but not essential

  • Strong understanding of the lower KS2 curriculum

  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills as a Year 3/4.

  • A reflective, creative, and team-oriented approach to teaching
