Job description

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Year 4 Class Teacher to join a supportive and welcoming team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in a key stage of children's primary education, helping to build strong foundations for future learning. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Year 4 Teacher:

 

  • Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive and high-quality lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum.

  • Use effective assessment strategies to monitor pupil progress and inform planning.

  • Create a positive and nurturing learning environment where all pupils can thrive.

  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement and wellbeing.

  • Build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents/carers.

  • Contribute to wider school life, including events, trips and extra-curricular activities.

Ideal Year 4 Teacher:

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

  • Recent or relevant experience in Lower Key Stage 2 is desirable.

  • Strong subject knowledge across the primary curriculum.

  • A reflective and creative approach to teaching.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills as a Year 4 Teacher.

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and inclusive practice.
