English Teacher
Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school on a permanent basis, starting January 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students and contribute to a dynamic and supportive English department.
Duties as an English Teacher:
Teach engaging and well-structured English lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that meet the needs of learners of all abilities.
Mark, assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback in line with school policies.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes literacy, creativity and critical thinking.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative resources and share best practice within the department.
Ideal English Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English language and literature.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills as an English Teacher.
A commitment to high standards of teaching, learning and student achievement.
