We are seeking a compassionate, committed and skilled SEN Teacher to join an inclusive and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a SEN Teacher:

 

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP targets and learning needs.

  • Teach pupils with a range of SEND, which may include autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, moderate learning difficulties (MLD), or social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).

  • Create a safe, positive and structured learning environment.

  • Work closely with support staff, external professionals, and families to deliver effective, personalised support.

  • Monitor and assess progress, writing reports and contributing to review meetings as required.

  • Promote independence, confidence and self-esteem in all learners.

Ideal SEN Teacher:

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.

  • Experience working with pupils with SEND (in a mainstream or specialist setting).

  • Knowledge of EHCP processes and effective SEN teaching strategies.

  • A nurturing, resilient and adaptable approach to teaching.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills as a SEN Teacher.

  • A commitment to inclusion, pupil well-being, and continuous professional development.
